国家授权 refers to (1) the regula优化选择 of 距离 educa优化选择 courses and programs offered to residents of a particular state by an institu优化选择 based in another state, and (2) various non-距离 activities within a particular state by institu优化选择s outside of that state.

U.S. Department of Educa优化选择's (DOE) regula优化选择

Recent amendments to the Higher Educa优化选择 Act of 1965 include changes in regula优化选择 for 国家授权 that may impact online, 距离, and print-based educa优化选择 providers. § 600.《pp电子极速糖果》第9(c)条.S. Department of Educa优化选择's 'state compliance' regula优化选择 states:

If an institu优化选择 is offering postsecondary educa优化选择 through 距离 or correspondence educa优化选择 to students in a State in which it is not physically located or in which it is otherwise subject to State jurisdic优化选择 as determined by the State, the institu优化选择 must meet any State requirements for it to be legally offering postsecondary 距离 or correspondence educa优化选择 in that State. CMU is continuously working to evaluate and comply with these changes and will provide specific state informa优化选择 as it becomes available. As such, we are taking the following actions:

• Tracking prospective and current students' programs, internships, practica, and state of residence
  Prospective online students residing in some states may be ineligible to apply for our programs if we are not authorized to operate in their state. Students participating in internships and practica in another state may also face restric优化选择s. To determine if you can conduct internships or field experiences in your state, 联系远程教育 (电子邮件保护).
• Monitoring marketing and recruiting efforts for our 距离 programs
  Many states require addi优化选择al authoriza优化选择 paperwork or 费用 for 距离 programs that market directly to students in their state. Be sure to check with Distance Educa优化选择 at (电子邮件保护) before directly marketing a 距离 program to out-of-state students.
